I had a testicular torsion and ended up in the state-run Siberian State Medical University hospital. In Russia, they don't usually seem to treat it as an outpatient thing, so I had to spend the entire week in the urology ward surrounded by exclusively 60+ year old guys. All I had to do was the handful of anime I had downloaded on my laptop :)
