in a way i'm glad yubs didn't make it to newjeans and instead became a triples member. yubs in newjeans with dani hanni and the others would've been a dream, but her career would've been cut short due to the whole drama with hybe.
it would've been peak, but a very, very short peak. she might be struggling now with triples but she will rest and recover and be back to being her bubbly self again soon

i think one of the hardest parts of loving yubin in particular is watching when she talk more seriously and reveals part of her personal experience with training. she's so bubbly and full of life but she can suddenly seem like shes had the life taken out of her. seeing the switch is honestly heartbreaking

i might be naive too in that i still think that compared to how it was like ten years ago i believe the industry has mostly changed for the better in regards to this stuff, but unfortunately you still see it happen almost like it's a constant of the industry (because it is)

i'll tell you the same thing i told you again on kofriends in that you still shouldn't despair, but that it's understandable to feel a little annoyed with it all. it's why i want to try to take a few steps back so that as i said it'll start affecting me much less (few steps back, not outright closing the door on it)

oh yeah yubs has talked a lot about her debut/pre-debut period and it sounds like she went through hell, both when she was training with newjeans, both before she joined modhaus, and both a bit after during her first few weeks/months with the company. i can only wish her the best. she's so precious and it hurts hearing that and seeing her the way she was today

there was an anon on kofriends who talked about fans bringing his enjoyment of kpop down and i tried comforting him. i find myself in a similar situation. there's a lot to look forward to in regards to triples this year but it's also annoying having to see stuff like this happen so often. i will never abandon triples but there's moments where i really think i should do something more with my life so that this stuff starts to affect me less and less.

some people are just way more sensitive to their appearance in general and those are usually the people that develop body dysmorphia or eating disorders. all mental illness and being a idol makes your entire job aobut your appearance. i think one of the reason s4 does so well and doesnt force herself to restrict is because shes been at it for so long
