>>229358 thats how i feel when i have to use the computer ar work, its and old win10 machine with 4gb ram i've gone through the pipeline of mint to fedora to arch, and i use omarchy now its comfy having everything already set up
>>229357 im smarter than everyone else but also im literally not arch is actually really easy to setup if you arent really interested in super specific customization i went from never really touching commands in my life to understanding how to use arch in like 2 weeks switching off felt like that scene in rick and morty where morty feels what true level is like then he touches normal ground again and starts crying my ddr4 system had never ran so smoothly and then i went back to windows and it felt like i was being gangraped by microsoft
>>229353 you had to work in the "arch, btw", lol anti-cheat is fucking stupid its not that the game doesn't run btw, its just that the companies refuse to allow it because they want to own your pc with their kernel level AC
serious answer is only i still play rainbow six siege and other games that have anticheat that u cant get past on linux. i have experimented with linux (arch if youre interested) and i loved it but finding workarounds and getting cucked by anticheat wasnt awesome so until proton compatibility goes the whole way and everything becomes easy to do on linux ill still be a debloated windows slave
>>229338 low cl = lower latency and back in october cl30 was the gold standard, so cl36 is absolutely fine. also some people may refer to cl as cas so you don't get confused.
>>229331 tbf if i do get a bigger card at that point i could expect to Have to get a new psu anyways just because i dont think ill want to run the same psu for its whole lifespan
>>229328 you do actually have a point i really wish this expensive ass card wasnt only 16g but honestly if i really was starved on vram i would probably consider getting mine modded with more
>>229322 the nvidia card will be for my windows machine the amd apu will be for my linux machine. ive also done the whole "how much will this be for a 9070xt" but after considering the fact that i want a system that will be absolutely cracked for another 10 years and that insurance money is always best spent on the flashiest stuff i wanted to go 5080
>>229317 brother, if i may, since you are planning to switch to linux, have you perhaps considered buying an amd card instead of nvidia? it will be a smoother experience, and it will be cheaper allowing you to get better parts
