I do have an HDR monitor, but it's what they call HDRnt, because the brightness is so low it doesn't make a difference, but my phone is pretty new and HDR content looks great

if you don't have a hdr monitor that webm looks washed out with no colour. better to tonemap to sdr when encoding so everyone can see it how it should look.

you need to include hdr processing in your ffmpeg flow if you want the resulting webm to also be hdr
