my mom remarried when i was a teen and had my half sister when i was 15. ive never considered her husband my stepdad and hes never considered me a son, but not in a bad way. weve always respected each other and have a healthy relationship largely in part due to how much i love my younger siblings and spend time with them but also hes a really good dude and probably the best thing that could have possibly happened to my mom at that time in her life cuz her bastard kids *holds up spork* sure as fuck werent helping her stress
