here in brazil it works because we have an state regulator, called Central Bank, that oversees the banking system

80% of money movement is made with pix now
the only thing i do not use pix for is when i need to buy something in installments, which you need a credit card for (but they're going to implement installments in pix form too, which got the credit car companies furious and they had trump complaining about pix recently)
